Located in Santiago, the Airbus Helicopters Training Academy in Chile has trained more than 1,000 pilots and technicians to operate and support company-built rotorcraft in Southern Cone markets. One of its most interesting features is its location within the city, at the Tobalaba Aerodrome in the municipality of La Reina, which makes it easily accessible.

Our training programmes are backed by a rigorous internal quality assurance system and are regularly audited by national aviation authorities. We are an official Airbus Helicopters Training Academy, certified by the Chilean Civil Aviation Authority as both an Approved Training Organization (ATO) and a Maintenance Training Organization (MTO) under DAN 142 and DAN 147 regulations. We also proudly hold ISO 9001 certification, underscoring our commitment to the highest international standards.

Our instructors are trained and refreshed annually at Airbus Helicopters’ global facilities. Modern teaching tools and training technologies are the key: the centre receives the most up-to-date, relevant, and practical instruction on Airbus platforms.

Our team can customise training programmes to fit for the operational needs, maximizing the performance and safety of the Airbus helicopters, contributing to the shared mission of elevating global aviation safety. Also,  the centre collaborates with the Airbus Training Academy Network and Helisim, offering access to full-flight simulator training and other advanced programmes.
