The heavy-lift twin-engine helicopter
Derived from Airbus' mission-proven Super Puma/Cougar family, with more than six million flight hours worldwide, the H215 provides the performance best suited to customer needs. It delivers a maximum sling load of 4,500 kg, a cruise speed of 252 km/h and an availability rate greater than 95%. The rotorcraft is characterised by a proven and robust design, with a modern glass cockpit and 4-axis autopilot inherited from the industry reference, the H225.
Trusted by military, government and commercial operators in more than 50 countries, the H215 is certified for operations in the world's harshest environments, from extreme heat to continuous icing conditions.
Intuitive pilot assistance
The H215 is equipped with the 4-axis dual-duplex digital autopilot utilised on the H225. The glass cockpit features four multi-functional LCD displays, real-time power margin display (first limit indicator), and a redundant vehicle monitoring system. Pilots benefit from automatic hover, dedicated search and rescue (SAR) modes, and flight envelope protection. The NVG-compatible cockpit enables night operations, while full de-icing extends capability to continuous icing.
Proven and versatile
A member of the proven Super Puma/Cougar family, the H215 is a heavyweight, twin-engine CAT A-certified helicopter powered by two Safran Makila 1A1 turboshaft engines. The platform delivers excellent hot-and-high performance with single-engine flight capability and maintains an availability rate greater than 95%.
The multi-role version features a large reconfigurable cabin, wide equipment options and all-weather capability including full de-icing certified for continuous icing. It covers the full spectrum of public service missions, SAR, medevac, law enforcement, passenger transport, firefighting with 4,000-litre water drops, and disaster relief.
The H215 offers optimal payload capacity for utility, powerline, firefighting and construction missions. Large sliding doors and rear access make it easy to load bulky freight and long loads, and external mirrors and a camera help assist crews during precision operations, like aerial work.
