“For me, being a part of the Human Resources organization immediately implies being a change agent through exceptional service delivery to our internal customers. We are able to impact our businesses’ bottom line, while also supporting our employees in achieving career success”, says Beatriz from Airbus Miami.
Beatriz joined the Airbus’s family in 2018 at the Airbus training centre in Miami as HR Coordinator, supporting employees at the Airbus Training Center in Miami, Aurora and in the Latin America Commercial Sales & Customer Services divisions. Among her main duties, Beatriz deals with everything that is related to the employee’s journey and people operations – onboarding, offboarding, training, employee engagement, inclusion and diversity topics, among others.
“My motivation to work at Airbus was originally its global reach and mission to reliably and safely connect the world as well as the countless possibilities of career development and mobility that I envisioned within the same. As a human resources professional, the idea of supporting such a diverse workforce represented an exciting and important challenge,” says Beatriz from the US.
Along the career journey, some unforgettable moments will enrich your experience.
Among many unique moments at Airbus, Beatriz highlights: “the first time I saw and got in a Full Flight Simulator was such a thrilling experience! I felt like a kid in a theme park and at the same time overwhelmed to see all of the gears and controls! It really makes you appreciate the complexity and skill that our pilots put into practice.”
“I consider as important factors to be self-driven and pilot of your own development. Without disregarding being a team player, to focus on one's objectives is key. Along the way, reach out to mentors for advice, but certainly take the lead in the effort to get where you want to be.”
Outside of work, Beatriz enjoys spending time outdoors and reading – “I enjoy going to the beach, playing tennis, and reading novels. Also, I love travelling! After studying abroad in Spain, I realized living in other countries really does open your eyes and motivates you to continue learning and growing both personally and professionally.”
