Shereen chose to begin her career as a Loss Adjuster handling engineering insurance claims.
In 2007, she moved to Hong Kong to be a Customer Service Executive in the aviation industry. Here, she managed components, purchase orders and repair ordering, liaising with suppliers and providing technical expertise on repair parts to customers.
Flying from helicopters to aeroplanes
Shereen started her journey with Airbus in the helicopters division in 2009 as a Contracts Manager, managing Parts-By-The-Hour contracts. Malaysia became her next home when she spotted an internal mobility opportunity to work in Sales Support for Civil Helicopters Market in Malaysia. Over the years, she benefited from a variety of jobs in Airbus including Helicopters Sales and Contract Management, Commercial Operations, Marketing, Retrofit and Maintenance programme.
Shereen’s most recent job was as Sales Network & Commercial Operation Manager before flying from helicopters… to aeroplanes in Airbus Commercial.
Shereen is now the Head of FHS (Flight Hours Services) at Airbus in Malaysia, leading a team of over 110 staff and managing FHS Worldwide Customers’ Parts- By-the-Hour components requests. The core operation team comprises the Customer Order Desk which operates 24/7, FHS transport operations which manages transportation for the global supply chain, repair management for APAC Repair Stations and FHS Information Systems.
I get a real sense of pride and satisfaction seeing my team grow, evolve, gain new opportunities and progress in their careers at Airbus.
She explained that her first role at Airbus Helicopters taught her how part-by-the-hours contracts work, and that the competences she gained in different roles and functions helped her to move into greater leadership roles.
