April started her career at Airbus in 2017 in Atlanta at Airbus Aerial Georgia. During these three and a half years in the team, April worked on transforming the temporary open space office which rapidly evolved from start-up of 4 people to scale-up organization of more than 30 members in her team. “When your project enters a growth stage, you want to make sure you’re not just thinking about the numbers — customers, users, headcount. You need to have the right mindset for your current phase of development, and you need to make sure the people you’re working with are on the same page. We managed to build a diverse team of technologists with very specific skills and a great corporate culture.” Says April with pride and satisfaction for her team.
After this great experience, April moved on and started recruiting for various technology and engineering positions in the US and Canada, including for the project of the Final Assembly Line of the A220 in Mobile, Alabama. In 2020, she joined the team of Inclusion and Diversity and among her main objectives is the development and implementation strategy for Inclusion and Diversity initiatives.
"Along these first years I have worked for Airbus, what I most appreciated of my team is how we communicated effectively on tough and sensitive topics. I discovered how people who find themselves in a same situation are able to look at problems from different angles, and support each other and go the extra mile to achieve their goals. This aspect inspired me to deliver an impactful message now that I am part of the Inclusion and Diversity team. I respect the opportunity to be the voice that helps to impact change for our employees and to continue to grow Airbus's reputation as an employer of choice. Making the difference is what renders us unique and, this, is also what our customers recognize in the long term.”
