Our placements give you crucial industry experience whilst allowing you to put your theoretical knowledge into practice. By making the most of the skills and experience you gain, you can improve your chances of landing your ideal job in our global graduate programme!

Stevenage

The home of the Mars Rovers. Our teams in Stevenage assemble, integrate, and test satellites for customers around the world, contributing  geotelecommunications equipment that distribute television, aircraft WiFi, and secure communications around the world.

Portsmouth

Starting an internship our team in Portsmouth gives you an opportunity to work in space system development, electromechanical engineering, software development, and project management.

Newport

Specialising in secure connectivity, cybersecurity, and cryptography for military, government, and critical national infrastructure - our teams in Newport are keeping the UK safe and secure.

London

Our London office is a hub for Public Affairs and Communications - working to bring the Airbus story to life with stakeholders within the Company, in the media, and across government.

Filton (Bristol)

The home of wings, fuel systems, and landing gear engineering. Opportunities in Filton will get you involved in aircraft design, manufacturing, and testing, and contribute to the development of next-generation aircraft.

Broughton (near Chester)

Our centre of excellence for wing production. At Broughton you can experience our work on wing manufacturing, assembly, and quality control, and be part of a world-class team.

You must be enrolled as an undergraduate within a relevant degree field of study for the duration of the placement, and match with the specific criteria of the placement you wish to apply for.

Who is eligible for Industry Placements?

You need to be enrolled as an undergraduate student within a relevant degree field, you must remain a student for the duration of the placement which is 1 year.

When do applications open?

Applications for the 2026/7 academic year will open 1 September 2025 and close when there are enough candidates, apply as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

What opportunities can an Industry Placement open for me?

Whether an Industry Placement with Airbus would be your first corporate job or your seventh, you’ll gain a year's experience in your chosen area with a multinational company. You will work closely with our teams to pioneer the future of aerospace, whether designing aircraft or supporting the business operations.

You’ll be able to use your experience to join our Airbus Global Graduate Programme after you graduate.
