At Getafe site, we host Spain's Eurofighter Final Assembly Line, A400M MRO  (maintenance, repair, and operations), and A330 MRTT conversion centre, equipping A330 jetliners with advanced refueling systems and military avionics making the transformation into the world-leading Multi Role Tanker Transport variant.

Seville's San Pablo site leads military transport activities, including the A400M and C295 Final Assembly Lines, supported by the pre-FAL at the site at Tablada. It also houses the Military Aircraft International Training Centre.

In Cádiz, we deliver composite components for military and civil platforms.

Airbus in Spain also leads the Extreme Low Observability pillar of the Future Combat Air System (FCAS), and participates in the new generation fighter demonstrator pillar.

SIRTAP Mountains

Manned unmanned aerial systems (UAS)

As Spain’s leading aerospace design and manufacturing company, Airbus leads Spain’s participation in the Eurodrone programme and is home to the lead engineering office for the future European drone.

Airbus’ Getafe site offers expertise and know-how in the design and development of mission systems and ground stations for UAS, as well as proven experience in the development of simulators.

With an established track record stretching back over recent decades, Airbus Spain has developed capabilities over the course of some of Europe's leading UAS programmes and demonstrators, including Atlante and Sirtap, Barracuda and Neuron.

In addition, Airbus has now launched the Final Assembly Line for the SIRTAP drone at Getafe facilities where nine systems will be produced – with three aircraft each – for the Spanish Army and Air and Space Force. Final assembly of the first prototype is scheduled to be completed in spring 2025.
