For those protecting us

The Eurofighter secures both German airspace and NATO's eastern flank, while our A400M enables transport and humanitarian missions. Airbus helicopters, including the H145M and the NH90, form the backbone of the German Armed Forces' rotary-wing fleet. The state and federal police also rely on our helicopters.

Our satellites and digital solutions provide troops with situational awareness and encrypted communications and we contribute toprotecting critical infrastructure from cyber-attacks.

Forging Europe’s defence ecosystem

Airbus Germany's strong industrial base is central to the European defence ecosystem. We are shaping strategic programmes such as Eurodrone and the Future Combat Air System (FCAS).
We are advancing our Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) and combat cloud technologies, including through partnerships with Quantum Systems for aerial reconnaissance and Kratos to develop collaborative combat capabilities for the German Air Force. This work supports NATO and the EU's 'Readiness 2030' initiative.

Defence from Germany for Germany

Final assembly of the Eurofighter for the German Armed Forces takes place in Manching, while the fuselage of the A400M is produced in Bremen. We manufacture the H145M and the NH90 for Germany in Donauwörth.

We also develop software for military reconnaissance, situational awareness and air defence, as well as providing secure military satellite communication systems, such as SATCOMBw.
