Bernhard Brenner was appointed Executive Vice-President Marketing & Sales in March 2017 and in this function he is a member of the Executive Committee of Airbus Defence and Space.

Before this nomination he led the Intelligence Business Cluster of Airbus Defence and Space since March 2013.

Bernhard started his career in Airbus in 1993 (former EADS) in the Young Management Programme of Deutsche Aerospace, holding various marketing & sales positions in Munich, Rome and Paris.

In 1999 he joined Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters) in Marignane, France, to take over various sales and communications activities and, five years later, he was appointed CEO of Eurocopter Chile S. A. in Santiago de Chile and Eurocopter Cono Sur S. A. in Montevideo, Uruguay. Here, he was responsible for the sales, after sales, training, MRO and logistics for helicopters in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia and Uruguay.

In late 2008, he assumed the helm at Eurocopter South East Asia in Singapore being responsible for its helicopter sales and marketing activities in 15 countries in the region.

Since many years Bernhard Brenner is board member of several aerospace companies around the globe.

Educated at the Technical University of Karlsruhe as an Industrial Engineer, Bernhard Brenner worked for three years after his university studies as a Business Consultant in Germany. Then he joined CNRS, a French Research Centre in Aix-en-Provence, before receiving a Doctorate in Economic Science from the University of Aix-Marseille III (France) and the “Doctor Europeus” degree with excellence.
