Airbus Defence and Space

Dominik Eisenhut is General Counsel, Head of Legal & Compliance of Airbus Defence and Space, and a member of the Division’s Executive Committee since 1st December 2025.

Dominik joined Airbus in 2011 and has held several positions in the Legal Department of Airbus Defence and Space and Airbus Group in Munich and Toulouse. Inter alia, he handled "Special Projects" for Airbus SE's General Counsel, led the legal team supporting the "Future Combat Air System" (FCAS) programme, and was in charge of litigations and regulatory matters at Defence and Space. He serves as Director on the board of Aalto HAPS Ltd, and was a member of the supervisory board of Airbus Defence and Space GmbH between 2023 and 2025.

Before joining Airbus, Dominik worked as a corporate attorney in Munich and London, and at the Chair of International and European Law at the University of the German Armed Forces. He has studied law and history in Freiburg, Grenoble, and London. Dominik is admitted to the Munich bar and holds a Ph.D. from Augsburg University (on the applicability of EU law in the area of defence and security), and an LL.M. from University College London. He contributes to different commentaries on public procurement and EU law, and is the author of several articles on investment screening law, Article 346 TFEU, and other aspects of EU law in the field of security and defence.

Dominik was born in 1978 and is married with two children. He enjoys travelling, literature, and everything that has to do with mountains.
