Lieutenant General (Ret) Antoine Noguier was nominated as Head of Strategy of Airbus Defence and Space and a member of the division’s Executive Committee on 1 October 2015.

Previously, Noguier was in charge of Strategic International Relations within the Corporate Strategy and Marketing organisation. In his role, he was in charge of promoting and supporting defence and security businesses strategic to the former Airbus Group, especially in export markets, as well as contributing to define future defence capabilities.

Before joining Airbus in 2014, he worked in the French Air Force. His military education started with an aeronautical engineering degree in 1980 at the Air Force Academy, before graduating from the UK Joint War College in 1999 and the NATO Defence College in 2001.

He is an experienced fighter pilot with 3,200 flight hours in combat aircraft (Mirage F1 and Mirage 2000) for military operations in Africa and the Middle East. From 2002 to 2006 he worked for NATO in Brussels, first as a member of the international military staff, then as Special Assistant to the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee and Private Office of the NATO Secretary General.

In 2006, he was selected as Military Air Advisor to the President of the French Republic under both Jacques Chirac and Nicolas Sarkozy in the Elysée Palace. From 2011, he was Commander Air Defence and Air Operations Command (Air Force Paris) and from 2012 served as Head of the Military Office of Defence for Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.

Noguier is married and lives with his family in Paris. He is a Commander of the Legion of Honour and an Officer of the National Order of Merit. In his free time he likes outdoor sporting activities and reading history and politics.
