CT-153 Juno - Future Aircrew Training (FAcT)

Airbus is proud to support the RCAF’s Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program. Airbus Helicopters in Canada is delivering 19 H135 helicopters - designated the CT-153 Juno - to train the next generation of Canadian pilots. Produced and completed at our facility in Fort Erie, Ontario, this historic project marks the first time Airbus helicopters will fly as part of the Canadian Armed Forces, delivering world-class training capabilities.

CC-330 Husky - Strategic Tanker Transport Capability (STTC)

As a key pillar of Canada’s continental defence, the STTC project introduces the CC-330 Husky to the RCAF. Replacing the aging CC-150 Polaris fleet, Canada will have a fleet of eight A330 MRTTs and one dedicated aircraft for Government of Canada transport missions, significantly enhancing its tanker and transport capabilities. Conversion of the first aircraft is already underway, with delivery expected in 2027.

CC-295 Kingfisher - Fixed Wing Search and Rescue (FWSAR)

The CC-295 Kingfisher is revolutionizing Canada’s Fixed Wing Search and Rescue (FWSAR) capabilities. With 16 aircraft dedicated to the fleet, the programme has been operational since May 2025, taking on first Search and Rescue Line of Taskings (LoT) at 19 Wing in Comox, BC and later, in January 2026 at 14 Wing in Greenwood, NS. Supported by AirPro SAR Services Inc., a Canada-based joint venture between Airbus Defence and Space and PAL Aerospace, the Kingfisher fleet received its ultimate endorsement by the announcement of Initial Operational Capability (IOC) in April 2026, providing critical, life-saving Search and Rescue (SAR) support across Canada’s vast territory.
