Getafe, 30 January 2020 – Airbus has been awarded ‘Top Employers 2020’ certification in Spain by the Top Employers Institute. This certification recognises Airbus’s people-oriented business culture and commitment to social policies in the field of human resources.
“With more than 134,000 employees from 130 nationalities working in 35 countries, it’s essential for us to have a policy that establishes employees as a vital aspect of the company and its values. This certification recognises the Airbus’ commitment to its employees in Spain and the quality employment we offer,” said Alberto Gutiérrez, President of Airbus in Spain.
The Top Employers Institute is an independent body which has established itself as the global authority on recognising excellence in people management. Founded over 28 years ago, the Top Employers Institute has certified over 1,500 organisations in 118 regions across the world.
“Top Employers certification gives recognition to our efforts, alongside those of our workers’ representatives to develop human resources policies which have helped us establish ourselves as a benchmark for employee experiences” said Antonio Lasaga, Head of Airbus Human Resources in Spain.
The Top Employers human resources best practices survey contains over 100 questions covering 600 ‘people development’ practices across 10 topics: talent strategy, workforce planning, talent acquisition, on-boarding, learning and development, performance management, leadership development, career and succession management, compensation and benefits, and culture.
“Airbus has shown that implementing human resources strategies enriches the working life of its employees. It’s a good example of a company devoted to people, with an ongoing commitment to offering its employees a better working environment,” said David Plink, CEO of the Top Employers Institute.
