My name is Recep Nuri Arbursu, I’m located in Hamburg and I’m a Project Leader covering digital business transformation in the Procurement department at Airbus Aerostructures.

I’m responsible for the transformation of resource management software and digital strategy in procurement aerostructures.
What’s one thing that makes your job exciting or special?
Our organisation is currently undertaking a fundamental digital transformation, a strategic, cross-functional initiative driven by deep collaboration between our business and digital teams. This effort presents a unique opportunity to redesign and align our core processes with our long-term business strategy, ensuring we are positioned to proactively address new challenges and anticipate the requirements of future programmes.
What inspired you to join Airbus?
Beyond personal passion, I am inspired by the pioneering vision Airbus has for sustainable aerospace. What’s your most memorable experience at Airbus? Why does it stand out?
The remarkable team spirit that unites us during complex projects is highly rewarding, culminating in immense shared pride upon successful delivery. Our mission is to be a strategic enabler, equipping our business units with the essential tools and support required for operational excellence. We recognise that while the effort behind our work is often invisible to end-users, any interruption can have a significant impact. Therefore, we prioritise and take immense pride in seamlessly delivering new projects and tools, thereby safeguarding business continuity and driving success.
Is there a specific project or moment you’re particularly proud of? Why?
I set up a specialised team of individual process and procurement experts, but we swiftly embarked on a significant journey of growth and transformation. Our key achievements include executing our strategy to improve our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software landscape. We simultaneously built expertise by successfully bringing in-house all related core systems and tool knowledge. Above all, we created a powerful team culture: one where we actively support, train, and challenge each other. I take immense pride in that team's journey.
