São Paulo, Brazil, 29 May, 2026 – Brazil’s Azul Linhas Aéreas has disclosed an order for four additional Airbus A330-900, confirming the A330neo as the backbone of its future long-haul operations. This order was previously listed as undisclosed and brings the airline’s backlog of A330neo to 11 aircraft.
Passengers traveling on Azul’s A330neo will continue to enjoy the award-winning Airspace cabin, designed to redefine the long-haul experience. The interior features a spacious layout with more individual space, enlarged overhead bins, and customisable ambient lighting. The cabin is equipped with the latest generation of high-speed connectivity and cutting-edge in-flight entertainment.
Azul Linhas Aereas launched operations in 2008 and has since grown to service more than 137 destinations within Brazil, and flies non-stop to the United States, Europe and South America. In 2019, Azul received the Americas’ first A330neo which allowed them to leverage full commonality with their existing A330ceo fleet.
The A330neo has proven to be a highly efficient workhorse for Azul, offering superior economics and elevated passenger experience. Powered by the latest generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, the A330-900 is capable of flying 7,200 nm / 13,300 km non-stop.
Airbus has sold over 1,300 aircraft in Latin America and the Caribbean and has a leading market share of in-service passenger aircraft. Over 900 aircraft are in operation throughout the region, and Airbus backlog represents around 70% of the future fleet in the region.
At the end of April 2026, the A330 Family had won 1,970 orders from 133 customers worldwide.
