Toulouse, France, 1 April 2026 - Airbus is accelerating its digital transformation with the launch of Skywise, a new wholly owned subsidiary merging Skywise digital solutions and Navblue solutions into a single entity. This is designed to address evolving customer needs in a quickly changing environment and streamline flight, technical, and ground operations for customers with Airbus as well as non-Airbus fleets.
With a global footprint including in Canada, France, India, Poland, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, the USA and more, the new Skywise company will employ around 750 people worldwide.
“By combining the best of our digital services, the new entity aims at integrating our technical strengths and delivering greater value for customers,” said Cristina Aguilar, SVP Customer Services, Commercial Aircraft at Airbus. “The digital sector is the fastest-growing segment across the entire services market, as highlighted in our latest Global Services Forecast. Our customers require resilient, end-to-end and interoperable digital solutions. The newly created Skywise will be the only provider to do so by combining OEM expertise and digital know-how.”
Having revolutionised aviation data management with over 12,000 connected aircraft, the Skywise platform is evolving from a standalone tool into a core digital solutions company. This will leverage years of Navblue’s flight operations expertise targeting further inroads into the airline digital services market.
More than just a leading aircraft manufacturer, Airbus ensures customer fleets operate safely and efficiently across the entire lifecycle - from first flight to final retirement - creating value and enhancing customer fleet performance. By streamlining digital services into a single entity, Airbus aims to further support operator efficiency while aligning with its long-term strategy to grow services revenue through digital optimisation and lifecycle management.
