Paris, 17 June 2025 – Airbus and Critical Software have signed a Letter of Intent to create a joint undertaking focused on the development of embedded software for aerospace applications.
The initiative aims to combine the companies' respective capabilities in designing and delivering safety-critical and certifiable software across multiple domains, including avionics, cabin and connectivity systems for current and future aircraft.
The objective is to secure long-term embedded software development expertise, aligned with the growing complexity and digitalisation of aerospace systems.
The potential new structure, which is subject to further assessment and regulatory approvals, would bring together Airbus’ aerospace expertise with Critical Software’s deep experience in embedded and safety-critical software engineering.
