Vice President of Operations & Site Leader for the Airbus Helicopters facility in Mississippi

Frederic Wiegert is Vice President of Operations and Site Leader for the Airbus Helicopters facility in Columbus, Mississippi.

Frederic transitioned to Airbus Helicopters following a 12-year tenure at the Airbus Commercial Manufacturing site in Mobile, Alabama where he held a succession of key leadership roles overseeing jigs and tools, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, as well as integrated operations teams supporting quality, logistics and operational excellence.

His career at Airbus spans over two decades of international experience. Prior to his move to the United States to support the startup and operation of the US Commercial Manufacturing site, Frederic held several operational leadership roles in Toulouse, France, and Hamburg, Germany. In these roles, he played a pivotal part in the industrial execution and assembly of the A320, A330 and A380 programs.

Frederic joined Airbus Helicopters in February 2026. As the Vice President of Operations and Site Leader for the Columbus, Mississippi facility, he is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of the Columbus site, ensuring manufacturing excellence and supporting the company's broader industrial goals within the North American market.

Frederic earned a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from E.I.G.S.I. (École d'Ingénieurs en Génie des Systèmes Industriels) in La Rochelle, France.
