Uncrewed aerial logistics system
Introducing the U145
Designed for both civil and military applications, the U145 uncrewed aerial system offers maximum mobility and adaptability for armed forces, special units, and civil organisations. Its modular architecture supports a wide range of missions, configurations, and airworthiness standards. Engineered to meet stringent airworthiness requirements, the U145 ensures reliable performance and full compliance with international regulations - making it ideal for diverse and demanding operational environments..

Airbus has renamed its UAS portfolio
Airbus has renamed its range of uncrewed aerial systems across its divisions to align with its helicopters and fixed-wing products.
Mission-agnostic solution for civil and military operations
The structural architecture of the U145 is engineered as a highly adaptable, mission-agnostic airframe optimised for both civil and military applications. The H145 is the second crewed helicopter Airbus is converting into an uncrewed version, following the VSR700, which is derived from the Cabri G2. The U145 will feature a specialised sensor suite and artificial intelligence for full autonomy. Compared with a crewed H145 helicopter, the U145 will have no physical cockpit, and will include significant adaptations for cargo, such as an integrated nose door including a foldable loading table and a dedicated cargo floor.
Leveraging a globally proven platform
The U145 is directly derived from the mature architecture of the H145 family, a globally established platform with more than 1,800 helicopters currently in service and over 8.5 million logged flight hours. By adapting this highly reliable, existing airframe, the U145 inherits the power, structural durability, and significant useful load capabilities that define the crewed version. This engineering approach allows the autonomous variant to leverage the proven aerodynamic design and robust twin Safran Arriel 2E engine configuration of the base aircraft.
