Anna Rogowska - Harness Assembler

Beyond the Blueprints: Meet Anna, Connecting the skies at Airbus

I’m Anna. Based in Warsaw, Poland I have been working as a Harnesses Assembler since July 2018.

I build the essential electrical wiring systems for Airbus CASA295 aircraft.

What makes my job special? Knowing that the harnesses I build are for aircraft that will be used to help people and in the military sector – it's more than just assembly, it's about contributing to something bigger.

Why Airbus?

My inspiration for joining Airbus came from my dad who encouraged me. He’s spent his entire career as a foreman in aerostructures here.

The sheer number of opportunities available came as a good surprise! Working on harnesses for the space sector and seeing the results on the Final Assembly Line for the JUICE programme was incredible.

Connecting the dots

My team and I create the electrical connections within aircraft, from the wiring in the wings to the systems in the cabin and engines. We follow strict guidelines to ensure everything is built to the highest standards.

Ultimately, we're at the forefront of what Airbus stands for: connecting people for a safe and united world. I directly contribute by ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of the planes.

Challenges and growth

The culture here really supports growth with lots of training opportunities. I even had the chance to go to Toulouse for training on a space project!

I've now been at Airbus Poland for seven years, starting in electrical harnesses and working on projects from the C295 aircraft to the space sector.

Memorable moments

My most memorable experience at Airbus so far has been working on a complex space project that involved a trip to England for harness assembly. Seeing the final product fly after such demanding work was an amazing feeling.

I’m really proud of having been part of unique space projects like the JUICE programme and Biomass.

Advice and inspiration

I feel it is important in my job to be accurate and feel responsible. Being committed and motivated helps you continuously improve your skills.

My advice for someone considering a career at Airbus would be: Don't be discouraged if it seems complicated at first; with practice, it becomes easier.

If you are wondering if you would “fit” in aerospace, I’d say ‘you never know until you try!’ I graduated from economics school and now I make harnesses for satellites.

My advice would be to take every opportunity to grow and learn.

A workplace that lifts you up

I really appreciate the stability of employment and the collaborative culture, especially the support from the engineering team.

The Airbus value which resonates with me most is integrity. Acting ethically is crucial, especially when it comes to safety.

Regarding work-life balance, the work atmosphere allows me to leave work with a clear mind and focus on my personal life without stress.

Your future takes flight here
