For 25 years, Airbus has continued to expand its profile in Poland, building on a century of Polish aviation heritage. Airbus’ long-term commitment to the country is visible through a scope of activities ranging from design, prototyping, manufacturing, maintenance, upgrades, research and development, and technology transfer, to cooperation in the space industry.

The company employs over 900 high-skilled staff members in Poland across three locations: Warsaw, Łódź, and Gdańsk.

Commercial Aircraft in Poland

Our products & services

The Polish Airbus manufacturing plant contributes to the company's global supply chain in the commercial aircraft sector - aerostructures for the A330 and electrical harnesses for the A320 and A330 family airliners are produced  in Warsaw.

In 2025 LOT Polish Airlines has placed a firm order with Airbus for 20 A220-100s and 20 A220-300s, marking the first time Poland’s national carrier has selected Airbus aircraft as part of its fleet modernisation. In the coming years, the A220 aircraft will gradually replace the LOT’s existing regional fleet.

Helicopters in Poland

Our products & services

Building on a partnership with the Lodz University of Technology, Airbus launched its Design Office in Łódź in 2015 as the company's fourth dedicated helicopter R&D center in Europe. The Airbus Helicopters Design Office in Łódź designs, analyzes, and tests components for helicopters and VTOL aircraft. 

Its integral part is the Test Center in Stryków, which is fully equipped to conduct a wide range of comprehensive tests. Polish experts have actively participated in the development of flagship Airbus Helicopters projects, such as RACER, H140, H145, and H160. 

For years, Airbus Helicopters aircraft have played a crucial role in supporting Polish public services and saving human lives. The Polish Medical Air Rescue (LPR) currently operates a fleet of 27 reliable Airbus H135 helicopters to deliver rapid emergency medical response across the country.

Defence and Space in Poland

Our products & services

Located near Warsaw's Okęcie Airport, Airbus Defence and Space runs a production plant, design office, and MRO Service Center, which delivers comprehensive maintenance and logistics support for both the Polish C295M fleet and international operators. With 16 aircraft in service, the Polish Air Force is one of the largest C295M operators in Europe.

The Warsaw site specializes in manufacturing aerostructures, components, and electrical harnesses for major Airbus platforms (A320, A330, A400M, and C295), notably producing over 60% of all global C295 components. Warsaw MRO is also home to the PZL-130 Orlik military trainer aircraft, providing continuous maintenance and engineering support for the Polish Air Force’s 28-aircraft Orlik fleet.

The Skywise Centre of Digital Excellence in Gdańsk is an Airbus subsidiary that provides comprehensive solutions for flight operations by producing software and aviation data. The company addresses evolving customer needs in a rapidly changing environment and enhances flight, technical, and ground operations for clients with fleets consisting of both Airbus and non-Airbus aircraft.
