The Airbus Foundation and Thai Airways International (THAI) today delivered over 1,000 kits of backpacks and classroom stationery to 400 underprivileged children in Narathiwas Province.

The ceremony took place at the Special Marine Unit, Chulabhorn Camp Tambon Khok Tien, Ampur Muang, Narathiwas Province and was attended by senior executives and representatives of THAI, the Royal Thai Navy and Airbus.

The humanitarian goods were donated by the Airbus Foundation, its partner Aviation Without Borders and the International School of Toulouse, France, and transported to Thailand aboard an THAI A350-900 delivery flight in July 2017. Students of the International School of Toulouse collected and carefully assembled the kits.

THAI and the Airbus Foundation have jointly organized five goodwill delivery flights since 2011, transporting some 20 tons of humanitarian aid, medical equipment, clothes, toys and school supplies.
