In celebration of today’s International Civil Aviation Day, Airbus has released a video showing its jetliner family in action – underscoring how the company is shaping the future of air transportation with its comprehensive product line of modern jetliners.

Timed with a yearly worldwide observance of the aviation industry’s benefits, as proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly for December 7, the five-minute Airbus video takes a behind-the-scenes look as the company’s multi-national flight test crew prepares and executes a formation flight involving the A320neo, A330-200, A350-900 and A380.

Airbus has always placed a high priority on maximizing the commonality of its jetliner families, which pays dividends for customers – making operations, training and maintenance easier and less expensive. In line with this proven philosophy, 15 of the company’s aircraft models – from the 100-seat A318 to the double-deck A380 – feature nearly identical flight decks and similar handling characteristics.

To date, more than 10,000 Airbus aircraft have been delivered to airline customers in all regions of the world – including Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East and Africa; along with handovers to lessors, government and private jet operators.
