What’s one thing that makes your job exciting or special?

After 12 years in civil aviation, I am thrilled to transition into the military sector, supporting this customer. In this job I use my expertise to directly strengthen my nation’s defense - a challenge I am incredibly excited to take on. 

Explain what you do in simple terms

As Flight Operation Data Manager, my mission is to ensure the Indonesian Air Force operates with seamless efficiency. I oversee the performance of the Flight Operation Support office and manage the end-to-end implementation of vital flight operations tools. 

Beyond the technical setup, I act as a dedicated partner to our customer, guiding them through the complexities of the A400M’s specialised applications. From the Mission Planning and Restitution System (MPRS) and FlySmart to Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) management and Performance Engineer’s Programmes (PEP), I ensure our pilots and engineers have the data they need to fly safely and effectively.As Flight Operation Data Manager, my mission is to ensure the Indonesian Air Force operates with seamless efficiency. How has your career evolved since you joined Airbus?

My career at Airbus has been defined by opportunities you won’t find anywhere else. By early 2027, I will be supporting the A400M Military Tactical Mission - an operation that will significantly expand my qualifications. It is incredibly rare to gain this kind of experience, and I am genuinely excited to see it through!

What’s your most memorable experience at Airbus? Why does it stand out?

Before taking on my current responsibilities, I was assigned three months of training across Airbus sites in Spain and France. It was an incredible experience to see firsthand the scale and complexity of our factories. Beyond the technical side, meeting so many new colleagues across Europe has given me a great support network to lean on in my daily activities. 

Is there a specific project or moment you’re particularly proud of? Why?

A moment I am particularly proud of happened just three weeks after the first A400M arrived at the Halim Perdana Kusuma Airbase. When a major flood struck Sumatra, the A400M immediately took the lead in humanitarian efforts, transporting over 1,500 tons of food, medicine, and troops alongside the rest of the Indonesian Air Force fleet.

In the past, I would only watch such disaster relief efforts on the news. This time, I was directly responsible for the mission planning and performance calculations that made those flights possible. To go from a spectator to the person ensuring the mission’s success was a truly amazing feeling. 

How does Airbus support you in maintaining work-life balance?

While our customers are always the priority, my manager and colleagues consistently emphasise the importance of work-life balance. There is a real culture of looking out for one another, ensuring we stay at our best for the mission while also valuing our personal time.
