What is your current role and where are you based?

My current role is aviation security operations manager. I am in charge of protecting Airbus flights against malicious acts and attempts. The objective of my mission is to guarantee physical security to protect our aircraft from any illicit intervention and to ensure that our activity does not pose a risk for the air transport security global system.

Being a woman can be as much of an advantage as being a man. Be yourself, empower yourself and above all always rely on your expertise and credibility, you will then become an indestructible force!

How long have you been working at Airbus?

I completed my first internship at Airbus during my studies in 2005! Since then, I have maintained a strong attachment to this company. For more than ten years I have worked in the Airbus ecosystem, for several Airbus subcontractors, as a freelance expert, and now I am back in Airbus.

Which aircraft/products are you working with?

I  work mainly with aircraft under the responsibility and ownership of Airbus (even if I may be required to provide expertise more broadly) these include flight test aircraft, prototypes and Belugas.

What inspired you to be a part of the aerospace sector?

My case is perhaps a little special. I was practically born on a plane! My father worked in the Air Force as a pilot and my mother used to be a glider pilot. When I was little I even built my own play homes in old planes… I always loved and still love to be in the presence of these beautiful "birds".

What do you enjoy the most about your job?

What I like most is the purpose of my work and the values it represents. It is important in security to keep in mind that the essence of our work is to protect others, to save lives whilst at the same time preserving our industry and operations.

Another important aspect for me is teamwork and the opportunity to meet a variety of people from diverse backgrounds, doing different activities, because I am convinced that together we overcome challenges and find solutions.

Tell us about one of the most memorable experiences from your career at Airbus. What made it so special and unforgettable?

I have many examples that come to mind, from the exciting and innovative missions I have been part of. These include test flights like the fello’fly A350, the A321XLR Passenger Flight Experience  or the humanitarian flights carried out by the Airbus Foundation…And some “special experiences', such as a training organised for people going to dangerous/war zones. Exceptional moments which enabled me to meet exceptional people.

An important quote for me is “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.” and above all, the advice I would like to give is never doubt yourself!

What has been one of the most empowering moments at Airbus?

What comes to mind is an ‘aviation security day’ that I organized  at Airbus on September 11th. It was really something close to my heart, involving and making people understand my somewhat unique role. Creating links with the entire air transport security ecosystem by explaining how it works for the airports, airlines, authorities...

What are the benefits of working at Airbus?

You get to meet interesting people worldwide from different cultures. There are opportunities for progression and to work with dynamic teams on motivating projects.

In what way do the values of Airbus relate to your own?

Airbus values correspond and completely match mine. As a company, Airbus cares about people. And I like the "we are one" spirit.

Do you have any hobbies? How do you enjoy spending your free time?

I have a lot of hobbies. I have a reputation for being a bit hyperactive. I have a family and children with whom I try to do lots of things. I am involved in several associations and I practice combat sports and boxing.

I also signed up voluntarily to be a firefighter and in first aid.

And last but not least, we are preparing a rally in the desert with an association of women called “Dunamite”.

Any fun facts you’d like to share?

Lots! I cannot choose one! My goal is to make sure there is fun everyday, at home and at work!
