We take pride in recognising the commitment and achievements of our suppliers with the Airbus Supplier Awards.

It is also a way to highlight their outstanding work in different areas such as Industrial Performance, Sustainability, Innovation, Competitive Excellence, Customer support and to congratulate them.

Commercial Aircraft

Airbus rewards the exceptional contribution of our commercial aircraft suppliers.

This year we took the opportunity to award and congratulate a number of suppliers who have made significant contributions to our key Airbus priorities - our ramp-up, demonstrating proof of agility, operational excellence and a collaborative mindset in the challenging environment, commitment to the Airbus sustainability ambition, and a pioneering mindset to drive innovation and digitalisation.

The awards are organised into five categories:

  • Ramp-up Champion: Best improver to secure ramp-up. Reward operational excellence and resilience in VUCA context.
  • Competitive Collaboration: Reward engagement in joint cost reduction initiatives, recognising a collaborative mindset to drive competitiveness and increase efficiency.
  • Agility: Reward quickest successful Transfer of Work, New Product Introduction, Industrialization after contract award.
  • Sustainable Future: Reward a project that supports Airbus in achieving its sustainability objectives. All scope of decarbonization path but not limited to environment (Human rights, corporate social responsibility).
  • Game Changer: Demonstrating an innovation and pioneering mindset through product or technology development or digital innovation.

The awards are organised into four categories:

  • Operational Excellence: 
    Supply Chain & Quality improvement program.
    Focus on supply chain execution: Quality and Delivery performance.
    Dedicated to suppliers under SQIP program.
    Overall performance for end to end contract lifecycle.
    Competitiveness, maturity of relationship, reactivity and creativity in all events.
  • Sustainable performance:
    SCoC signed mandatory.
    Suppliers proposing and developing sustainable solutions.
    Environmental actions, E&C, Cyber.
  • Innovation: 
    Suppliers proposing and developing innovative solutions.
    Delivery of development milestones on time and on quality.
    Celebrating suppliers largely contributing to innovative service to operators.
  • Customer support: 
    Supplier Efficiency and respect of commitments OTD/OTR (spare/repair).

 The awards are organised into four categories:

  • Industrial Performance: The supplier demonstrates good On Time Delivery with records in anticipating and mitigating risk, high level quality standards and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) culture. Transparent and proactive in sharing options and recovery plans, flexible and supportive in adapting plans to meet the Airbus Defence & Space needs & Resilience.
  • Sustainability: The supplier is engaged in a sustainability journey in compliance with the Supplier Code of Conduct.
  • Innovation: The supplier R&D plan and product roadmap is fully aligned with Airbus Defence & Space needs, the supplier has achieved significant results in technology or product fostering next generation performance and competitiveness.
  • Agility: It is about commercial but also product, the supplier solution and services directly and effectively contribute to Airbus Defence & Space competitiveness and business success as well as Offset/Global sourcing.
