Rene Torrey

Rene Torrey is Vice President of Supply Chain for Airbus Helicopters North America. In this role he is responsible for the strategic oversight and optimization of the regional supply chain, ensuring industrial efficiency and high-level support for the North American helicopter fleet.
Rene Torrey brings over two decades of aviation Supply Chain expertise. He joined the Airbus Group in 2006, building an extensive track record in supply chain disciplines and operational management.
Prior to his current appointment, Rene served as the Chief of Staff for Airbus Helicopters in North America, where he focused on maximizing executive management productivity. His deep roots in the supply chain were established during his tenure at the Airbus Commercial Aircraft from Order Fulfillment to Supplier Support Management. Later on he continued to drive supply chain performance and innovations with Airbus subsidiary, Satair. Based in Hamburg, Germany, from 2016 to 2020, he led the 24/7/365 Airbus Spares Aircraft on Ground (AOG) Operations, supporting a global fleet of more than 10,000 aircraft. Subsequently, Rene led the global multifunctional task force focused on A220 Supply Chain performance, industrialization, and customer satisfaction improvement.
Rene holds several business and leadership certificates from multiple organizations such as the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and has lived in five different countries. He is the married father to two sons and one daughter.
