At the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg/Germany which opens on April 17, 2007, leading aircraft manufacturer Airbus will underscore its industry leading position in aircraft cabin interiors and design based around three principles, comfort, efficiency and services, by showcasing innovative cabin designs.

Through the use of mock-ups visitors can get a first hand look at Airbus' groundbreaking cabin solutions and an overview of how airlines are able to benefit from these.

Visitors to the Airbus stand in Hall A3 (Booth 3015) will be able to personally experience the spaciousness of the Airbus A320, A350XWB and A380 aircraft families through specially designed seating areas and visuals.

Especially for the Expo, Airbus will display the A380 flight test aircraft MSN007 (MSN: Manufacturer's Serial Number) at the Airbus-Finkenwerder site. The aircraft has just successfully completed 10 days of commercial route proving flights around the world in cooperation with Deutsche Lufthansa. In these flights, thousands of passengers reported unprecedented levels of space, comfort and significantly low cabin noise on board the world's first and only true twin-deck twin-aisle airliner.

"The feedback we have received from airline executives and other passengers about the A380 was outstanding. Passengers, crews and aviation enthusiasts at airports all love the A380. The cabin is right, the performance is right and the environmental friendliness is a benchmark for the aviation industry. Once the aircraft is in service, it will indeed become the unquestioned flagship of the 21st century," says Rainer von Borstel, Senior Vice President Cabin&Cargo Customization.

The "comfort" area on the Airbus stand presents key-drivers for passengers' well being, addressing the visitors' senses in a unique design approach. Visitors can learn more about the A380 comfort highlights, the overall spaciousness and remarkable quietness of the cabin, air quality, and leading edge design as well as the flexibility of the individual lighting systems.

The "services" area focuses on passenger in-flight entertainment and connectivity services. Customers will be able to experience the innovative A380 Multifunctional Flight Attendant Panel, the cabin management tool for the crew.

The A380 passenger flights have also confirmed the high efficiency of the A380 cabin in terms of turn-around times which are similar to the 747-4 despite the A380?s 150 passenger capacity superiority. The flights also confirmed the high efficiency of the overhead stowage bins and layout flexibility. The "efficiency" area is completed by the Airbus Cabin Upgrade Services, presenting the full scope of services for cabin reconfiguration, enhancements and technology integration on in-service aircraft.
