Having obtained more than 150 new orders during the first five months of the year, Airbus comes to the Paris International Air Show (15-22 June) at the Le Bourget Airport, after an active beginning of the year thus far for the company despite troubled times. Airbus' achievements included the certification of the A318, the latest and smallest aircraft of Airbus' successful Single Aisle Family, and the progress of the A380 programme on all sites around Europe and the world.

The new Airbus A318 will participate in the flying display during the week long show, as well as the A340-600 test aircraft. An A318 in the colours of its first operator, Frontier Airlines, will also be shown on Wednesday 18th June. Other Airbus aircraft on static display throughout the air show will include an A330 from Northwest Airlines and an A319 and an A319 Long Range in Qatar Airways livery.

Throughout the event, Airbus will be present at its Hospitality Chalet (Row B ? 133), with a dedicated Press Suite. The main stand in Hall 2 (EADS Hall 2 ? A18) will exhibit many Airbus products, concepts and services on its 600m2 showcase floor. On display will be half models of the entire Airbus aircraft family, an A340-600 cabin demonstrator, an A319 cabin mock-up, a virtual cross section of an A300 freighter and an impressive 1:20 scale model of the new A380.

Airbus corporate videos and daily highlights of the show, including the flying display and Airbus ceremonies will be displayed on a large screen. Airbus will also be host to Air Traffic Alliance with a Totem including panel and video.

Airbus will hold a press conference on Sunday 15 June at 10:30 in Le Bourget Airshow auditorium to discuss its commercial and industrial activities, and to brief participants on its very latest achievements. Further media briefings are also to be expected during the course of the week.

A special on line magazine on www.airbus.com will provide visitors from all over the world with a detailed agenda of events, daily news updates, and live video footage of any Airbus event happening during the show.
