Define your job title in one sentence
I turn production and performance data into insights and automated tools that help the business make faster, better-informed decisions.
What inspired you to join Airbus?
I was drawn to Airbus because it brings together technology, innovation and something very concrete: real aircraft, flying around the world. With my background in Computer Science and Data Science, I was excited by the opportunity to apply my technical skills to such a complex, large-scale industry and to work in a company with a reputation for a collaborative, international culture.
How does your role contribute to Airbus’ mission or the success of its products?
Working with production and performance data means the insights and dashboards I help build directly support the teams keeping our operations running smoothly, whether that's by flagging issues earlier, reducing hours of manual reporting, or giving managers better visibility to make informed decisions.
How has Airbus supported your career growth or personal development?
Airbus has given me many opportunities to learn beyond my initial role and technical skill set. In particular, I’ve had the chance to upskill in Artificial Intelligence through several different projects, which has allowed me to explore new technologies while applying them to real business challenges. It has also given me the opportunity to take on challenges outside my comfort zone and continuously expand what I’m capable of doing.
What’s your most memorable experience at Airbus? Why does it stand out?
One of my most memorable experiences was visiting the Final Assembly Line and seeing the aircraft in person for the first time. I spend much of my time working with data, so seeing the actual airplanes behind the numbers was a completely different perspective. It made the connection between my day-to-day work and the final product much more tangible, and it reminded me that even work that happens far away from the production line can contribute to something very real.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career at Airbus?
Stay curious and explore areas outside your immediate role. Airbus is such a large and diverse organisation that there are always opportunities to learn from people with different expertise, backgrounds and perspectives. Don't be afraid to ask questions, and take the time to understand how your work connects to the bigger picture, which can make day-to-day work much more meaningful.
What do you appreciate most about Airbus as a workplace?
The people and the international, collaborative environment. Most of my team is based in the city of Lisbon, in Germany and in the UK, whilst I work from the city of Coimbra. However, I've always felt genuinely connected to my colleagues. I really appreciate how technology and a strong team culture can make geographical distance feel much smaller, and how working alongside people from different countries and professional backgrounds creates an environment where we can challenge and learn from each other.
Which Airbus value resonates with you, and why?
“We are One” resonates with me the most because I believe that the best results come from bringing different perspectives together. No one person has all the answers, and I think the strongest teams are those where people are willing to share what they know and work towards a common goal.
Do you have a favourite quote or mantra that inspires you in your work?
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
