First A320neo delivered in the CIS
Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s flag carrier, has become an operator of Airbus’ highly fuel-efficient A320neo (new engine option) jetliner. The A320neo is the world’s best-selling product line – continuing Airbus’ reputation for innovation with two new engine choices offered, along with Sharklet wingtip devices and the latest cabin enhancements. Kazakhstan flag carrier Air Astana received its first A320neo – on lease from Air Lease Corporation – during a special delivery ceremony held in Toulouse, France. Providing comments during the event were Air Astana President and CEO Peter Foster; Air Lease Corporation Executive Vice President Alex Khatibi; Jessica Villardi, Pratt & Whitney Regional Vice President, Sales, Europe, Middle East and Africa; and Christopher Buckley, Airbus Executive Vice President, Africa, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
