RST Rostock System-Technik GmbH, a subsidiary of Airbus Defence and Space, has delivered the 10,000th cable harness to Airbus, for integration into the doors of an A320 aircraft. The company has been producing cable harnesses for Airbus for eight years. “This milestone underlines the positive development and continuity that characterises RST located at the site of the German Aerospace Centre in Warnemünde,” said Managing Director Ulrich Scheib. “Our company is recording substantial growth in the aerospace sector and has good future prospects thanks to its participation in the Ariane 5ME programme.”

RST Rostock System-Technik GmbH offers engineering services and develops special equipment for the civil aerospace industry, including training systems for cabin crews. The company arose in 1990 from the Rostock-based Institute for Shipbuilding Technology founded in 1977 and was acquired in 2000 by what was at that time EADS. It now belongs to the Electronics unit of Airbus Defence and Space.
In the summer of this year, RST was awarded the honour of “Company of the Year” by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Federal State of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania in recognition of its “responsibility as an employer, its innovative product developments and its excellent feel for market and customers”.
