High Performance Radiator technology (HiPeR)

To address the challenges with thermal control in space, Airbus has developed HiPeR technology in recent years.

HiPeR Flexlinks: these are thermal straps with an unprecedented capability to conduct heat on-board spacecraft. Extremely flexible and with a conductance-to-mass ratio (W/K per kg) three to five times higher than traditional solutions, the thermal straps offer a versatile solution for thermal control requirements, while being mechanically decoupled. Our thermal straps are available as catalogue items with an average lead time of about 4 months. These straps are at TRL9 and are on-board missions in Telecom, Science, Earth Observation and megaconstellations. These straps are available to any commercial customer worldwide.
