In 2018, Airbus has set-up a customer service organisations dedicated to the South Asia region covering India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Maldives, and in 2021 the company started supporting its customers in Mauritius and Seychelles. Based in New Delhi and Bengaluru, a growing team of more than 300 members provide customer support, field service, fleet efficiency and engineering support, and services including Tailored Support Programme (TSP), material and component Flight Hour Services (FHS), digital services and support, maintenance and flight training services, quality management, and business development. The engineering and digital services team provide support to airlines not only in the region but also globally. The Customer Services team also includes Airbus’ fully owned subsidiaries – Satair for spare parts distribution and Navblue for flight operations services. Other functions such as Flight Operations support, engineering and maintenance support, and technical data support are well integrated among the different teams within Airbus.

With its unique “think global, act local” approach, the Airbus Customer Services team aims to maximise benefits for its customers. Improved geographic proximity to the services team, relevant experts with deep regional knowhow being available in the same time zone and faster access to spares and services help Airbus customers maximise the operational efficiency and reliability of their fleet.
 

Airbus Training & Flight Operations Services (TFOS)

The Airbus TFOS South Asia team is a part of the Airbus worldwide TFOS network, offering Training solutions, Flight Operations support and Navblue product range and strives to become a partner of choice for safe,reliable and sustainable operations of Airbus aircraft.

Located in the National Capital Region (NCR) and in Bengaluru, the Airbus India Training Centre (AITC) offers a comprehensive range of training courses for pilots and maintenance personnel by using the its original equipment manufacturing expertise, innovative courseware, qualified instructors, and the most advanced training technologies available in the market. These technologies include Full Flight Simulators, Virtual Reality Trainers and Flight Training Devices. Currently, AITC offers A320 (all engines) Type Training including Jet Orientation Course and Multi Crew Course for aspiring pilots. For maintenance engineers, AITC offers A320 and A330 (all engines) type courses. To further enhance the maintenance training standards in the region, Airbus has signed a contract with GMR Group, a leading Indian aviation infrastructure developer, to provide aircraft maintenance training to young aviation engineers making a trending career choice. 

For supporting aviation growth in the region, an additional AITC facility for pilot training is under construction near Terminal 3 at Indira Gandhi International airport in New Delhi.

The Information Management centre established as a global capability centre in Bengaluru with the vision of building the Information Management Systems to support all the divisions worldwide. The IM centre in India is built to cater to the needs of differently abled employees. The IM centre is the backbone of the Airbus’ Digital Transformation.

Engineering and Innovation

The Airbus India Engineering centre was established in 2007 in Bengaluru and now has grown exponentially, with strength of more than 700 engineers. It is the backbone which support all the three divisions - Commercial, Defence and Space and Helicopters. The team also provides solutions for Flight Physics, Airframe, Systems, Flight Test and propulsion, supports customer services, design cycles, manufacturing engineering and some Airbus subsidiaries.
