Airbus Defence and Space enable PETSE to expand VSAT services in Saudi Arabia

Terralink Hub chosen for advanced and reliable VSAT services to local customers

Integrated Petroleum & Energy Services company (PETSE) and Airbus Defence and Space have signed a three year agreement for supply of the Terralink Hub communications services. Terralink Hub will provide a fully managed service to PETSE which again provide them with the complete range of connectivity services to their local market in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Already a licensed VSAT services reseller and leading provider of Engineering, Project Management, Business consultancy and Procurement services for the Oil, Water treatment and Civil work segments in the Kingdom, PETSE will become a full VSAT service provider, enabling high levels of IP connectivity with support from Airbus Defence and Space and the Terralink Hub platform, enabling PETSE to provide more flexible services to their customers.

Following the hub acquisition and satellite airtime contract, ensuring PETSE’s ability to meet the capacity requirements of its existing and future customer base, PETSE will establish its own Uplink Station and IP network interconnected to the Saudi terrestrial network/internet, in addition to forming a field service organisation and tier 1 helpdesk facility. This will provide more proximity to the end user in the local market while Airbus Defence and Space ensures quality connectivity services to support the customer connectivity commitment.

Using Terralink Hub at its premises, PETSE will deliver a wide range of VSAT services for diverse customers, with network management and configuration controlled and monitored by the Airbus Defence and Space Network Operations Centre. Flexibility is a vital aspect of Airbus Defence and Space’s delivery, which is designed to accommodate growth in PETSE’s VSAT business and market demand for bandwidth.

“The sophisticated Terralink Hub concept, secured and flexible satellite capacity and business support we are providing will help PETSE to develop, market and sell a new range of shared and guaranteed VSAT service plans. This significant development will help organisations in Saudi Arabia to communicate more effectively using highly reliable VSAT services from a stable supplier,” said Danny Côté, Head of Enterprise Satcoms, Airbus Defence and Space.
