The second Airbus A400M new generation airlifter for the United Kingdom has made its maiden flight from the Final Assembly Line in Seville, Spain. The photo shows the Airbus Defence and Space flight test team, including the flightcrew, celebrating immediately after the 23 October flight. In the coming days the aircraft will be painted in Royal Air Force colours as it begins the customer acceptance process. In RAF service the A400M is known as the Atlas and will be based at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire.
