Statement by Noël Forgeard, Pesident and CEO of Airbus

Following the death of Jean-Luc Lagardère, Noël Forgeard, President and CEO of Airbus made the following statement:

"On behalf of all at Airbus as well as personally, I pay my deepest respects to the memory of Jean-Luc Lagardère, a remarkable entrepreneur whose stature dominated the French and European industrial scenes over the past four decades. He played a determining role in the restructuring of the aeronautical industry and in its successes, in particular with the creation of EADS, the integration of Airbus and the launch of the A380. He was a man of action, a warm and passionate person, admired and respected by his colleagues as well as by his competitors. We are all determined to pursue his work and to carry out successfully the projects that were dearest to him.

We address our most sincere condolences to his family."
