At Airbus, creativity is part of our DNA. It comes from all employees, at all levels, and we recognize that it’s a value which exists in many forms. In this article, we hear from our Aircraft Fitter Stewart Thomas and Business Innovation Manager Dharmesh Shah, about how this value inspires and guides them.
Creativity is a core value at Airbus. We believe it should be embodied at every level and in every form, whether that’s challenging the way we look at things on a daily basis, or encouraging ‘shoot for the moon’ ambitions. Every employee has the freedom to innovate and is encouraged to be bold in their ideas.
Creativity has always been integral to Airbus, and it’s this mentality that has helped us create a string of firsts and shape the future of aerospace.
Stewart Thomas is an Aircraft Fitter here at Airbus, and to him, creativity means “being able to turn dreams into reality”. He appreciates the importance of creativity for all employees, who should have the time, space and tools to bring their creative ideas to life and develop solutions. It’s key for us that everyone has the tools to do this, whether it be reducing fuel emissions, or constantly improving passenger comfort on long haul flights.
Dharmesh Shah, Business Innovation Manager at Airbus
Business Innovation Manager Dharmesh Shah agrees that creativity helps Airbus come up with bigger, bolder ideas, which “lead to whole new levels of growth”. Exploring new horizons is a vital part of our mission, so we can continue creating technologies and innovations that will shape the future.
Today, Airbus provides fertile ground for digital innovators, from big data experts to augmented reality explorers. We hope you feel inspired by Stewart and Dharmesh’s stories, to challenge ideas, and progress with imagination and passion.
