Airbus’ “stars” arrive for the 2014 Farnborough Airshow

A380 MSN1 approaching Farnborough airshow-13 July 2014
High-profile “guests” are already lining up for the 2014 Farnborough International Airshow, with the arrival of Airbus’ modern, efficient jetliners that will take centre stage at the biennial aerospace industry event this week near London.
The company’s presence is headlined by members of the world’s most modern and comprehensive widebody product line – including the next-generation A350 XWB jetliner, which is making its Farnborough Airshow debut, and the double-deck A380 – along with two aircraft from Airbus’ best-selling single-aisle A320 Family.
Appearing at Farnborough Airport is one of the test fleet A350-900 jetliners, designated MSN004, which features the combined livery of Qatar Airways and Airbus.  The aircraft will be prominently featured during the show’s first four days – both on static display and during flying presentations – and its dual livery highlights Qatar Airways role as an A350 XWB launch customer and the first operator to receive an A350 when deliveries begin later this year.
Also joining the A350 XWB at Farnborough is Airbus’ 21st century flagship A380 – represented by the company’s developmental MSN001 aircraft, which is to perform daily flying demonstrations, in addition to its presence in the static display area.
Rounding out the Airbus aircraft attending this major aviation industry event are a Sharklet-equipped A320 jetliner and an ACJ319 in the corporate jet version, which is operated by Tyrolean Jet Services and includes lounge areas and a private bedroom with en-suite lavatory.
