HAI Heli-Expo 2020

January 28 - 30 | #HaiExpo20

Airbus Helicopters’ presence at the 2020 iteration of Heli-Expo in Anaheim, California included the announcement of new bookings for its range of helicopters, as well as contracts for the company’s support and services offerings.

Among the event’s highlights were the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency’s decision to add 16 new H125 helicopters to its fleet; the contract from German air rescue and ambulance service provider DRF Luftrettung for 15 H145s; Metro Aviation’s acquisition of an additional 12 EC145e rotorcraft; and the order for three H135s from the U.S. NASA space agency.

Other news at Heli-Expo was Shell Aircraft’s confirmation of its interest in using H160s for offshore transportation missions, and the increase in power for H125s that will enable operators to lift up to an additional 190 kg. (419 lb.) Also announced at the show was the 100 million flight hour milestone achieved by Airbus’ global helicopter fleet.
