Airbus is presenting its latest innovations and major space projects during the 69th International Astronautical Congress (IAC), being held 1-5 October in Bremen – which is home to one of the company’s German industrial sites. The Bremen Exhibition & Conference Centre is the venue for this year’s IAC gathering.
As one of the primary sponsors of the world’s largest space congress – which brings together more than 4,000 players from across the global space sector every year – Airbus also is participating in a wide variety of briefings, forums, panel discussions, lectures and technical presentations on the 2018 edition’s event programme.
Notably, Airbus CEO Tom Enders is addressing the IAC audience with a “Highlight Lecture” on future space opportunities and endeavours, focusing particularly on decisions that must be taken now to secure humanity’s future aspirations in space.
In addition, the Airbus Foundation is presenting its new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programme: “Discovery Space,” as well as organise a “Little Engineers” workshop with local students.
