Bringing industry and education together, our Strategic Academic Partnerships connect a global network of universities to develop engineering and technology specialists of the future.
Each Strategic Academic Partnership is supported by a campus team comprised of an Employment Marketing Manager and several Airbus employees acting as the company’s ambassadors.
CEMS
Appealing to students from a range of institutions is a central pillar of Airbus’ campus engagement strategy, and its partners with key universities and organisations worldwide.
One such academic organisation is CEMS, a global alliance of leading business schools and corporate institutions that unites their respective resources in the offering of a master’s degree in international management. Airbus has continued its relationship with CEMS by renewing its partnership agreement.
Airbus GEDC Diversity Award
This pioneering award recognizing projects which have shown to increase diversity in Engineering Education was initiated by Airbus in 2012 in partnership with the Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC).
The award was launched to shine a light on successful grassroots projects that have inspired students from all profiles and backgrounds to study and succeed in engineering, leading the way for a more diverse and inclusive engineering workforce. After seven memorable editions, in 2020 Airbus worked with the GEDC to open up the award to new partners. Since then, this time-honored annual tradition of the GEDC has continued to recognize innovative projects from around the world and is currently held in partnership with George Mason University and Siemens.
At Airbus we are immensely proud of the achievements and impact demonstrated by the many candidates and finalists of the Award over time. We also want to express our gratitude to the global engineering education community for your continued support and engagement in the award, as Award Committee and Jury members, as organizers and nominees. We congratulate the new partners for continuing this important initiative and continue to work to ensure that the global engineering industry fully reflects the communities we work with and serve around the world.
Elles bougent
Airbus is an equal opportunity employer and aims to hire a minimum of 20% women across all divisions annually. We work in partnership with Elles bougent and are focusing efforts on facilitating access for women in areas where they are currently underrepresented.
To help achieve this, we have developed a comprehensive range of activities to promote jobs in aeronautics and space to women. These initiatives include site visits, airshow tours and events that allow to increase awareness among female employees and reinforce the attractiveness of the aerospace industry to them. The events include forums, conferences and seminars organized by educational institutions (for example the Summer School of the International Institute of Women in Engineering).
