Wolfgang Schoder, Airbus Helicopters’ Executive Vice President, Strategy and General Manager of Airbus Helicopters Deutschland, has held a variety of high-level management positions during a nearly 20-year career with Airbus Helicopters and its predecessors.

Prior to his current role, which he assumed in September 2019, Wolfgang Schoder served as Airbus Helicopters’ Executive Vice President Light and Governmental Programmes from 2011 until 2019.

He also held numerous positions within the Eurocopter Deutschland industry and site management, such as Vice President, German Sites Management; Vice President, Commercial Helicopters; General Manager, German Sites; Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Management; and Senior Vice President, Air Vehicles.

Wolfgang Schoder began his industry career in Airbus’ (then-EADS) Military Aircraft division, where he was first a Systems Engineer for flight guidance and navigation in the Avionics Department, before being appointed as the company’s Senior Manager, Head of Flight Dynamics in 1997.

In addition, Wolfgang Schoder was a research assistant for the Institute of Flight Mechanics and Control at Munich’s Technical University, from which he holds a doctorate in Flight Mechanics and Flight Control (Dr.-Ing.) and a degree in Aeronautics (Dipl.-Ing.).
