Airbus Defence and Space has announced the acquisition of DSI Datensicherheit GmbH (DSI DS), a German-based company that provides cryptography and communication systems for Space, Airborne and Naval & Ground that is certified by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). The acquisition follows a longstanding partnership between the two companies. DSI DS will be fully owned by the Airbus Defence and Space GmbH and operate under a new name, Aerospace Data Security GmbH. This will further strengthen Airbus’ cryptography capabilities and enhance the development of end-to-end secured systems.

All Nippon Airways (ANA) is set to introduce Mixed Fleet Flying (MFF) for the A380 and A320 Family following approval by Japan’s Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB). The Japanese carrier is the first operator in the world to introduce the MFF between the two types.

The National Cybersecurity Agency of France, ANSSI, has qualified the Airbus CyberSecurity SOC (Security Operations Centre) in Elancourt, France, at PDIS (Prestataire de Détection d'Incidents de Sécurité - Security Incident Detection Service Provider) level. PDIS is the highest security level defined in the category of detection activities.

Airbus CyberSecurity, an Airbus Defence and Space unit, has signed an agreement with French services provider ORSYS to join forces in cyber training. As part of this agreement, ORSYS has selected the Airbus Cyber Range training platform to advance its services offering.

Airbus CyberSecurity and Thales, two European leaders in cybersecurity, have signed a partnership agreement to offer a unique solution against cyber attacks. The solution will combine the file analysis system Orion Malware from Airbus CyberSecurity with Thales’s intrusion detection system Cybels Sensor, which obtained Security Visa from the French national cybersecurity agency (ANSSI) in April 2019

Airbus experts have selected seven teams for the 2019 final of world-class competition Fly Your Ideas which invites students from around the world to innovate in key areas for the industry: Electrification, Data Services, Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Mixed Reality. The finalist teams were selected after a three-month development phase working with support from Airbus mentors.
