With coronavirus cases rising sharply in Latin America, the region has become the new epicenter of the pandemic. As a result of the current health crisis, many government and private helicopter operators in Latin America have found themselves on the front lines of pandemic and are playing an essential role in supporting their countries’ efforts to fight the virus. Many operators are providing emergency medical transportation for critically ill patients, while others are supporting health authorities with the transport of tests and medical personnel. There are also those who have been instrumental in distributing food and medicine to vulnerable and isolated communities. What all of them have in common is their unfaltering commitment to supporting their fellow citizens during a difficult and challenging period.
