“I have always believed that in order to maintain a position of world player in the aerospace industry, it takes a remarkable effort in continuous technical innovative knowhow investments and researches to develop ground-breaking aerospace technologies to produce positive impact for a better and sustainable world” – says Rihan, graduated at the Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College of Engineering of Bangalore, and now Structural Design Engineer under the Airframe team at Airbus India.
His career has started over a year ago, but to Rihan the dream to join Airbus goes back to the great dreams of childhood. “To be part of this company is in fact a dream for many and I consider myself being very lucky to be one of them.” After completing his studies,
To be a Structural Design Engineer in aviation means to conceive components and structures for aircrafts and helicopters, for example, and master strength calculation, produce feasibility studies and determine design constraints starting from prototypes. “I mostly work with the invisible parts of an aircraft, those that most people will not see: things like the “bones” that keep them in the air. I am one of those working behind the scenes and caring for passengers’ and crews’ comfort and safety. In this particular role I enjoy the feeling of being responsible of someone’s else well-being while flying.” Since Rihan joined the Airframe team at Airbus India, he has worked in a number of tolerancing projects spanning across both Commercial and Helicopters.
“So far, what I enjoy the most in my career is that I always have the opportunity to learn from my team and managers. There is a favourable environment that facilitates the exchange of opinions and know-how, an appreciable aspect of a daily routine.” – says Rihan “I look forward to working many years at Airbus, evolve in my job and broaden my horizons.”
