“I joined Airbus as an intern in 2015 and thereafter, had the opportunity to take up a role Strategy & Commercial Operation Officer upon graduation. Since then, I have assumed various roles within the organization. It has been a challenging, but exciting journey.”

Throughout his seven years with Airbus, Boma has moved from a Strategy & Commercial Operation Officer to a Customer Logistics Manager and is currently, Sales Manager for Support & Services. “I attribute my success to my managers who have been supportive and patient. They have taken time to guide me through the activities, strategies, and operations.” shared Boma.

He cites that having good communications skills was the common key attribute in all his roles, be it in operations to customer-facing. “When interacting with customers, it is important to build good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Apart from learning on the job, Airbus provides me with necessary training to enhance my level of priority management and communication skills,” adds Boma.

At Airbus, employees are encouraged to be self-learners. This is achieved via our online courses in our learning portal.

Having graduated with a Master in Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Law (Business Law), Boma said that he did not expect to be working in the aviation industry. However, following an internship in 2015, he was inspired by the advanced technology of the sector and how it benefits the larger human society.

In his current role, Boma is accountable for all Indonesian corporate customers and manages customer intimacy development with the operations team. Together, they develop a customer satisfaction improvement plan. As a team, they have contributed to Airbus’ success in Indonesia, as well as built up a strong collaboration with the various departments and stakeholders.

Boma also shares about the international networking opportunity and culture of Airbus, further affirming his passion for the Company.
