Since October 2013, Michel Polychroniadis has been Airbus Helicopters’ Executive Vice President, Medium and Heavy Helicopter Programs – building on more than three decades with the company and its predecessors.
Among his previous roles with Eurocopter – now Airbus Helicopters – he was Head of the NH90 Programme and NH Industries President (2008- 2013); Head of General Design and Architecture Lead Functions (2004-2008); Research Director (2000-2004); and Head of the Scientific Analysis Department (1996-2000).
Polychroniadis began his professional career nearly 35 years ago as a predesign engineer with Aerospatiale’s helicopter division. He worked for this Airbus Helicopters French forerunner for almost 15 years, eventually rising to Head of Research Programs for Aeromechanics and Systems.
He was educated at the École Nationale Supérieure de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace (SUPAERO, National Higher School of Aeronautics and Space) in Toulouse, France.
