Description of the job

Do you love coming up with effective solutions to practical electronics problems? Did you study robotics, electronic engineering or something similar and have since started to build your career, using LabView to design and build data acquisition systems or develop creative ideas for automation? If so, you are just the person we need to help design, build and test our sophisticated wind tunnel models.

It’s here at Airbus in Filton that we are privileged to carry out this work, with our wind tunnel conducting experiments for both Airbus and External companies. We are proud of our unique legacy of testing every aircraft developed in Filton from Concorde through to the latest A350 XWB. Are you ready to join our high performing team?

Do you have a care and attention to detail, able to pick and apply different instrumentation and measurement techniques appropriately, taking inspiration from different fields and challenging how things are done? Would you like the opportunity to develop these abilities on wind tunnel models of aero engines, maybe a helicopter and of course on all our latest aircraft? If so, you will take a crucial role in our team, helping us deliver high quality aerodynamic and acoustic data to our customers.
