Flight Training Coordinator

Director – Helicopter Military Programs

Job Description:

Director Helicopter Military Programs – Navy & Coast Guard will be responsible for the follow-up, liaison, network and coordination with Navy and Coast Guard for Airbus Helicopters Naval Campaigns in India and maintain relevant and continuous liaison with Navy and Coast Guard officers at Navy and Coast Guard Officers at Navy and ICG HQ in New Delhi as well as maintain necessary liaison with Navy test pilots and flight test engineers based at HAL facilities in Bangalore. He will also be responsible for the follow-up, liaison and coordination in the frame of the NUH, NMRH and ICG Programs and Cheetah/Chetak product & customer support activities. Temporarily he will ensure liaison and coordination with HAL for AH/AHIndia Industrial/GSC Programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Follow-up, liaison and coordination with Navy and Coast Guard teams directly involved in the day-to-day work from RFI through RFP stage for the following campaigns:

Real Time Monitoring Admin

Description:

  • Real Time Monitoring Admin is responsible for installing and maintaining Real Time Monitoring platform for optimal performance via highly-available, scalable, maintainable systems and services.
  • He/She shall be able to work in a self-sufficient multi-disciplinary teams responsible for end to end product development with limited supervision. 

Qualification & Experience:

Engineering or IT graduate with 5+ years of experience in real time monitoring platform.

Expert level:

  • Strong experience in SPLUNK platform deployments on AWS and on premise hosting (any certification appreciated)

Activities:

  • Develop and prototype new FMS functions to support the system design teams.

Role Purpose:

The tester’s principal aim is to confirm and support the safe, reliable and effective operation of Airbus product related features and functions across sub-system, system and aircraft levels, primarily using ground based test rigs and the analysis of flight test and in-service data. 

The jobholder will contribute to the Avionics system Integration testing by preparing & performing system tests and analyse the test results on all Airbus programs using Remote and/or Virtual Test Means. 

Main Responsibilities  

Carry Out:

  • Define System testing methods, strategy and planning, execute tests, record results, perform analysis, record and classify defects. Writing summaries of test outcomes, Test Result Analysis, certification cards
  • Use of appropriate means to perform real time analysis and support to flight test, the analysis and defect identification from flight test analysis  - reporting on system behaviour from Flight Test Report execution, produce Flight Test Report Analysis
  • The investigation and analysis of in-service events, using ground rigs to reproduce events and support RCA. Create and implement development test for In-Service problems
  • The specification and validation of instrumentation on the test means for a given campaign  

Contribute To:

  • The formulation and planning of test programme through participation in the necessary reviews and milestones of the testing process
  • The upstream V&V/Test Strategy required for a propose design (can be from review/advisory) to involvement and direct responsibility.  Use knowledge of both system under test and test means capability.  Challenge test requests as and when appropriate. Involvement in supplier testing.

Job Description:

The Ground Instructor will carry out ground training in technical, performance and specialized course content (LVO, EDTO etc.) as per the Airbus training syllabus/course content.

  • To provide ground training to pilots on A320 family aircraft - technical theoretical knowledge, performance part and specialized course content like LVO, EDTO etc.

Simulation plays a major role in the aircraft development cycle by ensuring system maturity at early stages of development, whether for new aircrafts or for continuous improvement of in-service aircrafts.

Ground Digital Solutions Engineer

Description:

Airbus offer eOperation services to its customers; eOperation supports Ground Applications which communicate with A/C. We help customers for flight data administration, ensuring data integrity, allowing update of on-board system in areas of Flight Operations, Maintenance & Engineering, Cabin Crew Operations, EFB update and customization.

As part of eOperation, Ground Digital Solutions Engineers should be able to deliver on:

  • Data integrity of each MSN of A380/A350 at each and every airport that A/C is planned to fly
  • Support to customer on data administration and integration activities on Ground with Airport Network
  • Troubleshoot ground administration software and network issue
  • Training to end users of airlines on eOperation applications
     

Job scope (Tasks & Accountabilities):

Engineer - Methods and Tools

Description:

Methods and Tools (M&T) is Transverse team developing tools for Flight Physics design, Air-frame Analysis, System Simulation, Flight Operational Analysis, System Testing, Helicopters and Customer Support. M&T plays a key role in product life cycle of Aircraft. Airbus India M&T has de-veloped in house tools to support critical safety analysis tools which has played key role in Type Certification of A350-900. AI M&T involved in Research and Technology projects for developing concept demonstration prototypes; few of them based on data analytics for future requirements of engineering analysis needs. AI M&T also specializes in ‘Agile’ software development practices.

Main activities:

Associate Engineer – Aircraft Performance

Description:

The position involves modeling and analysis of aircraft performance during all phases of flight and the development of On-Board applications for aircraft performance

The candidate should have strong aircraft performance basics with familiarity of various performance parameters in different phases of flight e.g. take-off, landing, braking, cruise, climb etc.

Activities:

  • Generate and validate performance data files that are used during low speed and high speed operations.
  • Generate and validate performance databases for Flight Management System applications.
  • Low speed performance analysis of parameters like take off distance, braking distance.
  • High speed performance analysis of parameters like fuel burn, maximum range Mach number, climb rate.
  • Must comply with all the internal and regulatory quality requirements diligently

Education & Experience:

  • Preferably a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering

Job Description:

  • Get a full knowledge of existing Tools & Simulation means in Aerodynamics.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the aerodynamics deliverables (CFD Production/Validation/Pilot Application, POD based Modelling, Tool Development, Rapid Decompression)

Mass Properties Engineer – Flight Physics

Experience Range:

Required Domain Expertise:

 Job scope (Tasks & accountabilities):

  • Check Weight and cg values inside PDM systems follow Weight review meetings and design progress meetings.
  • Calculate Customer modifications, Service bulletins, Weight repercussions & Technical repercussions
  • Evaluate and monitor weight impact of modifications.
  • Alert Weight and Balance (W&B) Specialist on any important discrepancy between Estimated, Calculated, and Weighed values and verify that corrections are applied.
  • Support Designers for the W&B calculation on request.

ITSM Business Analyst

Description:

ITSM Business Analyst is responsible to define and deliver ITSM software implementation according to business requirements.

He/She shall be able to work in a self-sufficient multi-disciplinary team environment and responsible for end to end product development with limited supervision.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Engineering or IT graduate with 6+ years of experience in ITSM

Expert level:

  • Strong experience in IT Service Management platform like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy (any certification appreciated)
  • Strong experience in ITIL processes and ITSM implementation

Intermediate level:

  • Knowledge on some of the following programming languages like Java, XML, Python/Json, Javascrypt, Angular.js, but also on Linux system

Other:

Full Stack developer – PostgreSQL & Node.js

Description:

  • To be responsible for designing and developing IT products, particular to be responsible for the design and implementation of API services used inside the Core ELEC system for Aircraft electrical data.
  • He/she builds/assembles high-quality code on both COTS and custom built applications to fulfil a defined purpose. Keeps up-to-date with new and emerging technologies including ability autonomously develop POCs.
  • Possesses a good knowledge of Full Stack development and have the agility to transition between front/back end technologies. The jobholder engages in all phases of the product development (DevOps mind-set) to keep the Airbus IT landscape running smoothly, reliably, and efficiently.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Engineering graduate (preferably in Computer Science) with 3-8 years of experience in PostgreSQL, Node.js & Angular full stack based applications development, maintenance & run mode operations.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the area of product development using PostgreSQL, Node.js, TypeScript & Angular.
  • Strong understand of relational databases (PostgreSQL) with NoSQL technologies as a plus.
